Very informal-share your thoughts and ideas with your classmates on how you could use the PBS documentary People Like Us in the classroom. This doesn't need to be a formal lesson plan, just some fun, thought-provoking activities or ideas that would bring the issue of social class into the personal lives of our students.

Community Visit
We want to make sure that everyone has the chance to express themselves and that everyone else has the opportunity to listen. Sometimes you might not have something to say during class, but you'll be inspired later in the day. Tell us your thoughts on the community visit.

So, Autumn worked very hard to put this together...butter her up... what are your reactions to the music, the lyrics and the photographs/pictures? Possibly discuss technology, poetry, music, etc. as a medium for a student expressing their feelings towards social class. Would you allow your students to put something like this together as opposed to writing a paper?
